All right, welcome back to another video. In this first step, we have to create or check your existing tracking pixel, your meta tracking pixel, or now called data set. And we need to connect it to your ad account and then also connect it via conversion API with Songso, with your Songso account. First of all, before we do that, I want to quickly explain very simple what an tracking pixel actually is and what it does and why it's important for campaign success. So just imagine there's a promoter guy standing on a crowded street and giving a promotional flyer to people. Yeah. And you know what people are doing and say, hey, yeah, nice. Grab it. Don't look at it at all and just put into the trash bin around the next corner. The guy, the promotional guy thinking, oh wow, so many people are grabbing my flyer. Very cool. My event, which I'm promoting here would be deployed. The actual reality is it would not. So what the tracking pixel does is just to stick a little tracker on it. And so the promotional guy can look, okay, what are people doing? Are they going with it? and looking at it and maybe then go to the actual event and going to be actual clients or customers paying money back to us or are they putting it into the trash and then the promotional guy can analyze the audience and look okay um male people over 30 years old are more likely to grab it and hold it and watch it and come to the event and younger people more likely to put it in the trash and then the guy will learn and yeah don't give the flyer to young people more concentrate on the high quality people and giving more flies to them and this is what our tracking pixel already does and why Songso is also very important to use this because all other tools out there, they also have conversion API tracking, stuff like that. But the thing is that there are a lot of ad blockers and iOS 14 privacy stuff in there, which prevent our tracking tag on the flyer to stick. It folds down. There's an ad blocker, there's a glitchy foil on it and it will prevent the tracker to stick on it and this is what the ad blockers are doing in reality. So we built actual AI fingerprinting system on Songso which prevent that ad blockers can block the traffic. Long story short, we have to create a new pixel or if you already have one same story you have to assign yourself on the pixel which you can do here, assign, just check if you are here, go to full control, manage events data set, this is the actual permission stage we need. And then, or just go to here at, with a name, you're good to go. And what we need also is that we are going to connected assets. And then we already see that this pixel is connected to the ad account. If it's not, for a new one it wouldn't. Then you click here on connect assets as you already did before for the Instagram account. Select your created ad account you want to use and then connect it. If you are not going to do that step, you're sitting in front of the ad manager and wondering why you can't select that pixel. Pixel is created or already exists. Then it says data set is not receiving events. Sure, because there is no traffic coming in. So what we can do here is click here on events manager. This window is going up to open and then it says something like this. First of all, go to settings and then you have song show open on the other tab, go to tracking. Then click add pixel, name it, you can name it same as on meta, it's not relevant how the pixel is named here, but for just to be simple, Matt Heinz pixel, I think this is the name on here. Yeah, it's the same one. Then I just click this, paste the ID to our clipboard, paste it here. Then here going down, make sure that automatic website matching is on and tracks events automatically with code is off. And then we are going to go here, set up direct integration and click generate access token. Yeah, just go with that. And then you will get this token here. Go over there, paste it in here, go back to events manager, go to test events, click the first one, server events, copy the test code and paste it. So now your tracking pixel is connected to Songso and You also have here, if you edit the pixel, you have the assign artists. But if you only have one artist in here, then the pixel is global. If you select it, the pixel is now artist based. So if you have more artists in one SongSol account, then it's better to split the traffic. So you have artists one. Pixel 1, artist 2, pixel 2. Yeah, for this we can just leave it because there's only Matin in it. So just to explain you, we support multi-tracking pixel or multi-pixel tracking in here. Go to dashboard. Let's create a new smart link real quick. So let's do it for this one here. So this is a, this is a older release from Martijn. And what we will check is that we open that page and click on, yeah, let's do Spotify. Some people ask if it's possible to prevent that. This is not happening on mobile. This is a Google Chrome browser restriction, I guess. You can click this one time here, then it will not happen, but you can't prevent to do this. This is system wise because they open in web. Yeah, but if you're running ads on Instagram or something like that, this is not going to show up. It's just sending straight to Spotify. So over here in the events manager, We are seeing that already events are coming in those two view content events, which are very important for us. So there should be one Spotify and I think, uh, YouTube. Yeah. Spotify, Spotify, we clicked Spotify twice and then YouTube music. Yes. So first of all. There was the first click, then the second one I've showed you the pop-up again and then the YouTube music again. And what you see here is that we are sending a lot of high quality data back to Meta. Desktop, then the browser, the system, and also country city, an external ID, IP address, state, user agent, zip code. Yeah, I think there is no tool out there which sends so much quality enriched data back and then we have yeah the page view from the actual smart link. So now I'm right back in my other main browser profile and what I did is I activated two very aggressive ad blockers. So this is uBlock Lite which is I think the strongest you can get and then also a basic one plus here and I will click just to differ I click SoundCloud. What we expect to see right now on the actual event manager. Yeah there's also the SoundCloud click coming in even I have all those ad blockers on activated and if you want You are invited to try this with other marketing tools out there and check if those events are coming in this quality, right? Even ad blockers are activated. This is pixel tracking. It's set up right now. So in the next videos we can jump right in into our campaigns.
